Ana Lemos, Universidade Nova de Lisboa
Graduated in History, with a specialization in Art History, in 1991. In 1996 attended Master classes of Medieval Art History and Medieval Painting and Iconography in the Sorbonne University / Paris IV and awarded her Master's degree from Universidade Nova de Lisboa (FCSH-UNL) in 2009. Her main research areas are medieval illumination and iconography and currently she is a PhD candidate where she furthers her research on Books of Hours, in the Universidade Nova (FCSH-UNL) in association with the Department of Preservation and Restoration (FCT-UNL). She also works as a researcher of the funded project "Colour in Medieval Illuminated Manuscripts" (FFCT/FCT/UNL) since 2006. Ana Lemos has a vast experience in international congresses, publishes regularly articles on her main research areas and over the last years she has been invited to lecture several Graduate and Undergraduate classes at the Universidade Nova (FCSH-UNL). She is a full member of Medieval Studies Institute (FCSH-UNL), and teaches History in the Lycée Français Charles Lepierre, in Lisbon. |
